Urban House is well known for its lively ambience and for hosting guests from around the world, always ready to go dancing by night after a Basque Night Out (bar hopping/pub crawl), hiking by day and maybe try a typical sidreria on a weekday night. These are the activities that are planned on our weekly agenda:
Basque Night Out every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday
Visit a local sidrería in Astigarraga (cider house)
More to come
When the sun goes down and the city’s lights turn on, the atmosphere changes drastically. Some of the pintxo bars in which you ate earlier that day will become dance floors while some will offer a relaxed, refined setting. In the old part of town, you can’t walk for more than two minutes without passing by a handful of bars. The most notable to check out include Mendaur, Ezpala, DGC, Tas Tas, Arkaitzpe, Sin Numero and Buga, which are all located within a five minute walk from one another (note that C/ Fermín Calbetón is the main street for bars at night). After 3 am, you can move and check the main night-clubs of the city.
At the end of Calle Narrika in the Old Town, it is a buzzing and fun club frequently visited by locals and travelers alike looking for a fun time and affordable drinks. The club hosts different DJs and there is a terrace where you can enjoy your drinks.

La Rotonda (Night Club)
Also located on La Concha beach, though closer to the central part of the city. It normally is a beat cheaper than Bataplan and the fact that it is slightly closer may just sway your decision in its favor.
Cafe by day, night club by night. It is located in the Victoria Eugenia Theater. This club normally charges a cover fee, but can be a worthy alternative if you are looking for something new.
C/ Fermín Calbetón (bars and pubs)
One of the main bar streets in the city, by day and by night. Try out Mendaur, Sariketa or Uraitz. They usually close at around 3 am, but you never know!
Bataplan (Night Club)
Located right on La Concha beach, overlooking the beautiful bay. There is normally a cover entry to get in, however it is considered by most as the best club in the city.
An interesting club known for playing music that other places throughout the city do not explore (e.g. classic rock). Its cozy atmosphere is a refreshing break from the more modern surrounding clubs.
Friends (Night Club):
A large club in the Boulevard that offers a large dance floor and frequent specials.
